Artist’s Statement – Syeda Ishrat (S. Ishi)

Hello, I'm Syeda Ishrat, also known as S. Ishi, a self-taught artist with a deep passion for creating meaningful, hand-painted artwork. For me, art is more than a profession—it's a way of expressing emotions, preserving culture, and telling stories that words often cannot.

My artistic journey began with a simple love for colors, creativity, and traditional art. Over the years, I have developed my own style by drawing inspiration from nature, Islamic architecture, Mughal and Persian miniature art, cultural heritage, and the beauty of everyday life. Every painting I create is made with patience, attention to detail, and genuine passion.

I believe that original artwork has the power to transform a space and create an emotional connection. Each piece I paint is unique, carrying its own character and story.

 

Whether it's a peaceful landscape, a vibrant floral composition, or a culturally inspired painting, my goal is to create art that brings beauty, warmth, and inspiration into people's  homes.

Through my work, I hope to share not only my creativity but also my appreciation for timeless artistic traditions. It brings me great joy to know that my paintings become part  of someone's home, creating memories that last for generations.
